The great light

Galilee Lutheran Church

Lay leader Craig Waters

This Sunday at Galilee, we celebrate the second Sunday of Epiphany (“The Great Light”) along with Martin Luther King, Jr’s birthday. In the lessons for the day, we are asked to follow Jesus and His example. In the current climate of flaming, trashing and tweeting, it might be time to resurrect that old sound bite, “What Would Jesus Do?” (WWJD). It might even improve things if we just asked ourselves, “What would a normal, sane person do?” (WWANSPD).

Regardless, when a couple of potential disciples ask Jesus, “Where are you staying?” he answers them, “Come and see.” That’s all we ask, too. If you think you need to hitch your cart to something a little bit bigger than yourself, “come and see.”

Come and see every Sunday at 10 a.m. Galilee is located at 8860 Soda Bay Road in the Kelseyville Rivieras. We are on line at www.galileekelseyville.org and on Facebook. Come and see.
