KELSEYVILLE >> The Kelseyville Business Association hosted its first meeting of the year with new board members on earlier this month at Kelsey Creek Brewing. Sue Dodd of California Exterminators will be acting as President this year with the assistance of First Vice President Rick White of Konocti Realty and Second Vice President Helen Finch of the Guesthouse at Finch Gardens.
Desiree Perez, of Vic’s RV Repair will be serving a second term as Secretary and Caroline Chavez, the new owner of Kelsey Creek Brewing is going to act as treasurer for the group.
The new KBA Board is very excited about their undertaking this year as Kelseyville will celebrate two big anniversaries in 2017. Kelseyville Business Association will celebrate it’s 50th year as an association and the annual Pear Festival, under new Director, Cindy Bain and co-chair Tyler Weiper, will be celebrating a remarkable 25 years of bringing thousands of people to Kelseyville to shop, play and stay.
No dates have been set but celebratory events will make 2017 a very festive year.
The KBA is also looking forward to hosting the first Beer, Wine and Swine event on Fathers’ Day, June 18. Local restaurants, musicians, artists and vendors of local goods will all be invited to participate.
As we begin a new year the Kelseyville Business Association would like to bring some attention to the local Boy Scout Troop #45 lead by Scout Master Austin Mueller. Troop Committee Chairman, Sean Rigby and Scouts Ryan Rigby, Kennedy Gaulden, Robert Lockhart, Nick Carrolls, and Michael Beitman have been responsible for raising our American flags down the length of Main St. Kelseyville on President’s Day, Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, D-Day, Flag Day, July 4th, Patriots Day, Veterans Day and Pearl Harbor Day.
The organization joins the entire community in expressing many thanks to these gentlemen for their effort.
