ROHNERT PARK >> Isaiah Garcia and Kenny Hodges scored 16 points apiece and Robert Neils added 11 more on Tuesday night as the Upper Lake Cougars defeated Technology High 69-37 in North Central League II varsity boys basketball action in Rohnert Park.

Still smarting from 50-43 overtime loss to Roseland University Prep on Friday night in Santa Rosa, the Cougars improved to 4-2 in league play and 9-9 with a win in the second of four straight road games for the team.

“We came out and established our quickness,” Upper Lake coach Justin Dutcher said. “We beat ‘em with our speed.”

Upper Lake led 17-9 after one quarter and continued to add to its lead the rest of the game. It was 31-15 at halftime and 52-26 through three quarters.

Pancho Flores and Colton Goetjen had seven points apiece for the Cougars. Hodges had four of Upper Lake’s six 3-point field goals.

In the loss to Roseland University Prep on Friday, Flores led the Cougars with 14 points and Hodges added nine. Roseland outscored Upper Lake 7-0 in the overtime period.

The Cougars were back on the road Wednesday night to play St. Vincent in Petaluma and they wrap up their four-game road swing Friday night at Tomales.
