Does the Oath of Office have meaning?
As we see what is happening in Sacramento, it may be time to ask just which part of the Oath of Office was not included when Governor Jerry
Brown took his Oath of Office as governor of California.
The Oath reads as follows;
OATH for the office of Governor of the State of California:
“I,_______, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties upon which I am about to enter.
(Signature)”
California became a part of the United States of American in 1850. As of today, California is still apart of that great nation. Where is the “support and defend,” “ bear true faith and allegiance,” and “I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties upon which I am about to enter,” of our current governor?
All elected to Sacramento take a similar oath as shown here:
“CALIFORNIA CODESGOVERNMENT CODESECTION 13601360.
Unless otherwise provided, before any officer enters on the duties of his office, he shall take and subscribe the oath or affirmation set forth in Section 3 of Article XX of the Constitution of California”
Note that the following is also included in the oath :
“And I do further swear (or affirm) that I do not advocate, nor am I a member of any party or organization, political or other-wise, that now advocates the overthrow of the Government of the United States or of the State of California by force or violence or other unlawful means; that within the five years immediately preceding the taking of this oath (or affirmation) I have not been a member of any party or organization, political or other-wise, that advocated the overthrow of the Government of the United States or of the State of California by force or violence or other unlawful means except as follows:” (to be provided by elected official, if any)
Perhaps patriotic Californians need to study state history and realize the need to speak out when we see politicians disregarding the oaths they have taken.

Nuclear weapons
I like nuclear weapons! They are nasty, frightening, and, indeed, horrible. But that is their charm. They scare the bejeebers out of everyone far more than they should. To me, no better deterrent for some nation’s inappropriate action has ever been developed. Add to this the fact that I really feel that the leaders of those nations we worry about are neither so stupid or naïve to use them to gain attention. They may gain notoriety, but it doesn’t do much good if your country has essentially disappeared.
To me, the key is not the limiting or doing away with weapons, but a world commitment to use them as a deterrent. So what if North Korea has a bomb and uses it as a threat? The country without its capital doesn’t amount to much. The same logic fits Iran (and, perhaps, Israel). I really don’t think they will be used. But to be effective, it takes a commitment from those powers who stand to lose far more from a nuclear confrontation than they can afford. The loss of large country markets would doom, not just one, but all the major nations and trade areas—and we all know it!
If there is a contentious point, it is the world’s acceptance of the collateral damage of the retaliatory strike. It is inevitable if the system is to be effective and, I suspect will be far larger than the initial offensive attack. Too bad!
Yes, there is the chance of a small, non-national group of dissidents obtaining a weapon—and even a delivery system—and using it to get attention, but the probability is very, very small. Additionally, as I understand it, the source of the weapon can be found from examination of the detritus from the explosion. Probably be embarrassing to the source country who would then be subject to punishment.

It’s gonna get worse
Poetic Justice, appoint HRC as Ambassador to Libya and stationed in Benghazi
And as for the boycott of the Inauguration, why don’t all of you Libs stay home, who cares? It just shows how small and shallow you are and how much you disrespect America. If 68 Republican Officials didn’t show up for President Obama’s inauguration you Libs would explode! Can you say two faced? The venom and lies from the Left has just started and it’s going to get beyond putrid. Maxine Watters can get before the TV Cameras and berate the incoming President and not pay a price? Can you do that with President Obama? Not a chance! Mark Lamont Hill berates Steve Harvey as “a mediocre Negro” for meeting with President elect Trump! Where’s the outrage over that? NONE! And mark my words it’s going to get worse! The filth, stench and lies that are going to be pouring out of the left wing press is going to be like never before. Apparently when it comes to American Values, Republican show up Democrats don’t.
Washington DC is going to sound like a hog farm with the Liberal Dem’s squealing at everything President Trump does.
And speaking of Benghazi, if you want proof Kevin go back to the transcripts of the parents, especially Shawn Smith’s mother, or at the airport as the coffins were being unloaded and HRC tells the parents it was a video. Then HRC never speaks to them again! And Trey Goudy said there are many more unanswered questions. But what difference does it make? A bunch to most Americans, except Kevin. You wouldn’t be talking like this if it were one of your children. And that’s enough about HRC and Benghazi! And you too Kevin! In the words of Edgar Allen Poe, “never more.” And where did $10 trillion go that Obama added to the debt? Right back to the Dem Party thru the back door! Bet me!
