Twelve members of the CORE Wrestling Club placed third or higher during a tournament on Sunday in Lafayette. Weight division winners were Mason Fuchs in the Pee Wee 34-pound division, Jesse Saldana-Rivera in the bantam 44-pound division; and Aleesia Occhino in the bantam 77-pound division. Second-place finishers were Kaylee Davenport in the bantam 58-pound division, Alyxa Milano in the intermediate 64-pound division, and Hailee McRae in the intermediate 76-pound division. CORE wrestlers also posted a handful of third-place finishes led by Liberty Fuchs, who placed third in two divisions. Other thirds went to Hailee Dorsey in the Pee Wee 34-pound division, Irianna Milano in the intermediate 60-pound division, Dylan Neuharth in the intermediate 57-pound division, Anthony McRae in the novice 88-pound division, and Aidan Foster in the novice 103-pound division. – Contributed photo
