CLEARLAKE >> The City of Clearlake is beginning a search for new positions in the Planning Commission that are appointed by the City Council.
The Planning Commission is to hear and act upon the land use applications that the City Council receives, act as the advisory agency with the administration of the Subdivision Map Act and advice the Council on land issues.
The Planning Commission seats term expires March 2021 and those who apply must be residents of Clearlake and make the meetings. Planning Commissioners also receive a stipend of $25 per month.
“Planning Commissioners play a vital role in the future success of the City of Clearlake,” Clearlake City Manager Greg Folsom said in a Press statement. “Over the last year, the Planning Commission has reviewed the General Plan Update, reviewed Development Agreements, recommended Council approval of various land use ordinances and approved serval Use Permits.”
The deadline for those to apply is Feb. 16. More information on the Planning Commission can be found on the City of Clearlake website.
