With a rare day of sunshine gracing Lake County following a week’s worth of stormy weather, the Lower Lake High School softball team made the most of it Thursday. This year’s roster is loaded with underclassmen although there are a few veteran holdovers from last season’s 18-7 team, including catcher Destiny Apodaca. Lower Lake sees its first action Saturday during a scrimmage in Santa Rosa. The Trojans’ first game is scheduled for Tuesday at home against Pierce beginning at 3:30 p.m.
