PETALUMA >> Jimmy Rockwell pitched four solid innings for the win and he also went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to power the Middletown High School junior varsity baseball team to a 13-2 victory over St. Vincent on Tuesday afternoon in Petaluma.

It was the season opener for the Mustangs (1-0).

Rockwell didn’t allow an earned run during his stint on the mound. He struck out five and walked only one.

Jaden Trueblood and Aidan Skinner each went 2-for-4 for Middletown. Trueblood scored two runs and knocked in another while Skinner scored three times and had a RBI. Wes Wagner and Cameron Luis also had hits.

Middletown hits the road today to play Pierce in Arbuckle. First pitch is 3:30 p.m.
