Scouts hosts annual carnival March 11

Dakota Perry of Clearlake’s Troop 44 hangs the spin art creations out to dry during last year’s Scout Carnival. The Scouts of Lake County have a new racing theme for their carnival of crazy games and carnival food this year. On Saturday, March 11 from Noon to 5 p.m. at the Lake County Fairgrounds at 401 Martin St. in Lakeport, try out the new people powered racing cars. Join the scouts for games of Tossing, Racing, Fishing, and the Rubber Chicken Fling. Door prizes include a Used Car from Guy Strohmeier’s Auto Center, a recliner from Allen’s Furniture, Photo Art by Lyle and Deanna Madeson, a Steel Rolling Ball Sculpture by Matt Gaulden, or 25 other prizes. Admission is free. Activity tickets are 5 for $1 — and include an opportunity for the door prizes. If you get tickets before March 11 you will also get a $2 off coupon at most Lake County Pizza Parlors.
