CLEARLAKE >> In 2394: Mirrors of the Past, a recent sci-fi novel, survivors of a global disaster seek to discover the mysterious past that led them to their new existence. The novel explores the developing relationship between an older woman named Reisha and her younger love interest, Swallow, after their home planet is nearly destroyed. Reisha and Swallow learn to appreciate their feelings and to embrace one another as they cope with the lasting effects of the disaster.
Roscoe will share 2394 at the Redbud branch of the Lake County Library on March 4 from noon until 2 p.m. The library is located at 14785 Burns Valley Road in Clearlake.

Roscoe says that her book “touches on how the greed and controlling nature of the ruling elite upper class led up to the disaster.” She has been writing for most of her life for personal growth and pleasure. Roscoe has had short stories published in Women’s Voices, which is published in Sonoma County.
