Northshore Fire Protection District donated a fire engine to the firefighting program at Lower Lake High School. This week Engine 6575 was placed into service. Attending Tuesday’s function were members of the Red Bud Health Care District who endorsed the Fire Science Program with a grant; Chief Jay Berstanieos of Northshore Fire District; Chief Willie Sapeta and his staff from Lake County Fire District; Donna Bechnel from Konocti Unified School District; Jessica Taliferro, Principal of Lower Lake High School; and Fire Science students. The Engine numeric, 6575, defines the geographic boundaries of the Lower Lake High School. Station 65, Lower Lake to the south; City of Clearlake and the former Lakeshore Fire District in the Center and Station 75, Clearlake Oaks to the north. - Bob Minenna
