UPPER LAKE >> Three members of the Upper Lake High School girls basketball squad have been honored on the All-North Central League II team as recently selected by the league’s coaches.

Senior guard Natalie Karlsson, who averaged better than 26 points a game for the Cougars (16-13) during the 2016-17 season, was named to the first team. Karlsson, a four-year varsity starter, finishes her career second on the list of Lake County’s all-time scoring leaders with 1,846 points. Only another former Upper Lake standout, Laura Wilder (1,897), scored more.

Brenna Sanchez, a junior post player for the Cougars, was named to the All-League second team while senior post player Kejhana Taylor earned an honorable mention.

Caroline Chambers, a junior for league champion Rincon Valley Christian, was honored as the most valuable player.
