UPPER LAKE >> While the Upper Lake Cougars didn’t land a player on the All-North Central League II boys basketball team recently selected by the league’s coaches, sophomore Kenny Hodges did receive second-team honors.
Hodges averaged a team-best 13.2 points and 7.9 rebounds a game. He also led the Cougars in 3-pointers with 47, nearly twice as many as any other Cougar.
Hodges was one of two Upper Lake players honored on the All-League team, joining senior Isaiah Garcia, who received an honorable mention. Garcia averaged 12.1 points a game, second only to Hodges.
Senior Evan Lampson of Sonoma Academy was the league’s MVP.
Upper Lake finished 8-6 in the NCL II standings and 13-13 overall.
