With spring sports in full swing around Lake County, the local softball scene is dominated by underclassmen pitchers in 2017, including freshmen Shelby Sapeta at Lower Lake and Allison Bryant at Kelseyville and sophomore Kortnie Reynolds at Clear Lake. Senior Olivia Glosser of Middletown and junior Julia Mooney of Upper Lake are the county’s veteran arms. Through the first couple of weeks of the new season, Lower Lake is 3-3, Clear Lake, Kelseyville and Middletown are all 2-2 and Upper Lake is 1-2. In games scheduled for today, Middletown plays at Upper Lake, Kelseyville vists Fort Bragg for a doubleheader, and Lower Lake hosts Calistoga.
