KELSEYVILLE >> Anytime you find Ron Chips, Tony Barthel and Rick White in one place you know there is something brewing. On behalf of the Kelseyville Business Association, this trio are bringing the first Lake County Baconfest to life in downtown Kelseyville. The event, first proposed in 2016, will take place on Father’s Day, June 18 from noon to 5 p.m.

You will never have to worry about what to get dad for Father’s Day.

For just $25, dad and an engaging panel of celebrity judges with names like Stephanie Green, Congressman Mike Thompson and Anthony Farrington will taste original bacon based recipes from top Lake County chefs. Julie Hoskins, Rosey Martin, Jeremy Zabel, Woodland College Culinary Team, Saw Shop Gallery Bistro and Suzie Q’s Donuts are on board and they’re just getting started.

If you are a restaurant chef or culinary enthusiast who would like to dazzle the judges and serve up bacon flavored magic to 300 or so of your closest friends, give Chips a call at 245-8402.

To help you wash down your bacony treats, Kelsey Creek Brewery, O’Meara Brothers Brewery and St. Helena Brewery will be serving up a selection of cold beers and many of the Kelseyville wineries will be pouring Lake County vintages.

The event will also feature the music of Jim Williams and the Hip Replacements, culinary art and crafts, jams, salsas, pickles and perhaps some craft sausage or cheese. The committee is looking for vendors.

A range of sponsorship levels is available for every budget. See what‘s shaping up at the website www.beerwineswine.com or call Chips at 707-245-8402
