A fire destroyed a house on North State Street Monday night and damaged a nearby barn and neighboring house.
Six engines and 27 firefighters responded to the blaze at 4531 N. State St., which was determined to be an accidental electrical fire, said Ukiah Valley Fire Authority Division Chief Jeff Adair.
Fire crews were dispatched at 10:23 p.m. and showed up within six minutes, he said.
The house was fully consumed by flames by the time crews arrived, Adair said. The fire had spread to a barn on the property, causing damage to it. Heat from the house fire caused damage to a neighboring residence, he said.
It is not clear whether people lived at the property; there was no one in the home at the time of the fire.
The house was a marijuana cultivation site, Adair said. The investigation is still under way.
