ROSEVILE >> While the North State Modified Series doesn’t open its season until April 22 at Roseville with the running of the second annual Sinister Diesel Gene Welch Class, promoters recently announced that the top15 NSMS drivers will share in the Lucas Oil Tow money program again in 2017.

NSMS officials in their continuing partnership with Lucas Oil and Protest the Harvest will fund a tow money program whereby the top 10 point leaders each receive $200 upon arriving at the trace track while drivers in 11th through 15th place each receive $100. The program was designed to help with the high cost of travel.

Protest the Harvest was created by Lucas Oil founder Forrest Lucas to defend and preserve the freedoms of American consumers, farmers, ranchers, outdoor enthusiasts and animal owners.

The tow program, which was introduced a year ago, begins with the second NSMS event of the season, which is scheduled for May 6 at Lakeport. It will continue throughout the remainder of the season.

In addition to the Lucas Oil Tow Money program, the Lucas Oil Dash for Cash will continue to pay $100 to the winner and $50 to the runner-up.
