SANTA ROSA >> Middletown High School sophomore Kelsey Lemoine blew away the field in the open division of the 100-meter finals on Friday during the annual Santa Rosa Twilight Invitational at Santa Rosa Junior College.

Athletes competed in either the open or invite divisions. Middletown and Lower Lake athletes took part in the open division of the meet.

Lemoine won the 100 in 13.12 seconds, well ahead of runner-up Olivia Nicholes of Maria Carrillo (13.48). In the 200 meters, Lemoine came in second (27.40) behind winner Kiely Rowe of Maria Carrillo at 26.85.

Also for Middletown, Grace Southern ran fourth in the 400 meters at 1 minute, 5.96 seconds and 12th in the 800 at 2:42.62 while Amy Hermann placed fifth in the high jump, clearing 4 feet, 8 inches.

The Mustangs had two athletes place in the top sixth in the shotput where Hanna Morris was fourth in 31 feet, 1 inch and Taelor Roderick was sixth in 29-10.

Lower Lake’s top finish went to Jenny Landeta, who came in seventh in the 3,200 at 14:19.11.

Boys

Middletown’s Colton Hall placed sixth in both the shotput (38-9) and discus (116-6).

Other top finishers were Trey O’Neill of Middletown, seventh in the high jump (5-4); Brenden Steele of Middletown, ninth in the 400 (55.32); and Jack Farres of Middletown, 11th in the 300 hurdles (46.79).
