CLEARLAKE >> Home-school parents and students from throughout the county met at the Redbud Library in Clearlake for a two-hour Lego robot workshop hosted by the Children’s Museum of Art and Science (CMAS). Children and adults built dancing birds, alligators, and a drumming monkey and then programmed them to run using the WeDo software. Some students were able to build three or four different robots within the two-hour session. Others got diverted when they learned to use the record system so they could record their own voices, singing or saying their own messages instead of using the pre-recorded program sounds. This was the second robot session this year. Call Billy Gear at 279-1514 to schedule a two-hour session.
A fun day of programming
