ROHNERT PARK >> Technology scored nine runs in the bottom of the third inning to wipe out a 9-7 Upper Lake lead and went on to beat the Cougars 20-10 in a North Central League II softball game on Wednesday afternoon in Rohnert Park.

The game was called after six innings because of the 10-run rule.

Upper Lake (1-1 league, 5-9) was playing its first game since beating Rincon Valley Christian on April 14 in the NCL II opener for both teams.

It was a long day for both pitching staffs, but especially Upper Lake’s. Technology not only banged out 14 hits but made the most of the 15 walks issued by the Cougars.

Technology scored in every inning. Upper Lake pushed four runs across the plate in the both the first and second innings to go up 8-4. Technology answered with three runs in the bottom of the second to make it 8-7. After the Cougars scored in the top of the third to take a 9-7 lead, the Titans blew the game wide open with a nine-run bottom half.

Upper Lake hosts St. Vincent on Friday at 4 p.m.
