WALNUT CREEK >> Who wouldn’t want to snap up the spacious Walnut Creek mansion once occupied by NBA star Steph Curry and his charismatic wife Ayesha?

Apparently, no one — at least not at the original asking price of $3.7 million.

The couple, who have been trying to sell the “Santa Barbara-style Mediterranean villa” since October, have agreed to lower the price to $3.6 million, the San Francisco Business Times first reported.

The Golden State Warriors star and his celebrity chef wife bought the 7,520-square-foot property on a cul-de-sac just south of downtown Walnut Creek in 2015. They paid $3.2 million and put $400,000 into renovating it, according to listing agents Andy Read and Ana O’Byrne of Caldecott Properties.

But to some observers, the house was in somewhat of an exposed location for a star athlete, with its back yard sloping down to a major thoroughfare. The Currys, who have two young children, reportedly had concerns about fans invading their privacy, so they decamped to a more secluded — and larger — property in Alamo, located behind big gates.

The “splendid” Walnut Creek home was built in 2006 and sits on a lot lined with mature olive and cypress trees, the listing reads. With “a bright and airy interior,” it features five bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths and a 2,000-bottle wine cellar. The property also has a “casita” tucked into a corner of the near-acre lot that comes with a private bathroom, kitchen and garage.

And, yes, given that the Food Network filmed “Ayesha’s Homemade” cooking series in the home, you can guess that the kitchen would be heaven for serious home chefs.

The kitchen is designed around a “massive” Carrara marble topped island and boasts “two sub-zero refrigerators, two Miele dishwashers, a Miele coffee system and microwave, a Wolf warming drawer and a 59-inch La Cornue range and hood.”
