Come out and support our local Youth Choir performing the high energy, upbeat musical “Treasure Island.”

The show starts out as five students travel to Treasure Island thinking they will have the opportunity to hunt for hidden treasure: two wanna be pirates, a budding detective, two style divas and one timid girl afraid of pirates who may be lurking. On arrival they discover all the maps have been stolen and what ensues is an enlightening pursuit of more valuable treasure and the redemption of a Lost Pirate.

With toe-tapping original music by Celeste Clydsdale that includes 50s style music, Contemporary Christian and more, one crowd pleaser will be well known to many in the audience: “Gold” by Britt Nicole.

Treasure Island opened Thursday, April 27 to an appreciative crowd but has two performances remaining. Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. you’ll find this traveling production at Clearlake Community UMC on the corner of Pearl and Mullen in Clearlake. At 11:30 they will do a repeat performance at Middletown United Methodist Church. There is no fee to attend but a free will offering will be taken.
