LAKEPORT >> On Saturday, the Lakeport Women’s Club held the Mad Hatter Luncheon inviting Lake County women to have a little fun playing dress up for a good cause. This year the theme was Rhinestone Cowgirl and the women did indeed come out in their finest cowgirl garb.
The ladies enjoyed line dancing and “shopping” with their raffle tickets before an excellent lunch provided by Twin Pine Casino and Caitlin Andrus of Oak Boutique provided lovely apparel for the fashion show.
The LWCC would like to thank the many local businesses that donate and are really the backbone of this event which raises money for local Veterans, County Parks, Fire Victims, Witness Protection Programs and High School Scholarships. Through their donations LWCC members create festive baskets to be raffled off to the lucky ticket holders and larger items are given away at a lively auction.
Next year marks 25th annual Mad Hatter Luncheon. It is a wonderful way to invest in Lake County.
