MIDDLETOWN >> Will Chastain pitched 5 1/3 innings for the victory and Aidan Skinner went 2-for-2 with a double, RBI and four runs scored as the Middletown High School junior varsity baseball team beat the visiting Willits Wolverines 12-2 in a Tuesday game called after six innings because of the 10-run rule.
Middletown improved to 10-1 in league play and 18-1 overall.
Jaden Trueblood went 2-for-3 for the Mustangs and Jon Hoogendoorn Jr. and Noah Brown each had a hit and two RBIs in the victory.
Middletown plays Friday in Kelseyville at 4 p.m.

Clear Lake 5, Lower Lake 3
At Lower Lake, Blair Hayes worked four innings for the win and Abe Ojeda went 2-for-3 with two RBIs as the Clear Lake Cardinals held off the Lower Lake Trojans in NCL I action.
“It was a good game,” Clear Lake coach Ed Pepper said. “Their pitcher threw a lot of curves and kept us off-balance.”
Clear Lake scored twice in the top of the second to push in front to stay at 3-1. The Cardinals had a 5-1 lead before the Trojans closed with a run in the sixth and another in the seventh.
J.T. Hanson went 1-for-2 with a double and a RBI for Clear Lake (8-4, 8-6) and Preston Jones (1-for-4) also drove in a run.
Lower Lake statistics were not reported.
The Cardinals hit the road Friday to play Fort Bragg at 4 p.m.
