LAKEPORT >> Magic: the ability to perform supernatural feats, or just smoke and mirrors? Whether you believe the former or the latter to be true, most would agree that magic shows are incredibly entertaining.
The Lake County Theatre Company brings critically-acclaimed Bay Area illusionist Alvin Lui to the Soper-Reese Theatre for an unforgettable night of entertainment, “The Art of Magic.”
The evening begins on May 27 with a pre-show dinner and up-close magic with Lui at 5:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., some of the county’s best local talent will take the stage, including musical groups My Divas and Take Two, dancers Sarah Dutra and Larry and Zoe Richardson, and juggler and expert yo-yoer Ian Smith.
After a brief intermission (and perhaps a delicious bite to eat and a glass of local wine from concessions), Lui will once again entertain the audience with his magical talent.
In his own words, “Each performance is a highly interactive experience, combining sleight-of-hand, psychology, storytelling, and audience participation.”
Tickets are available now for this May 27 event and range from $20 for balcony seating to $45 for the dinner and show package (limited seating available).
