LAKEPORT >> Mendocino College, Lake County Theatre Company, and the City of Lakeport bring another production to Library Park on July 29 and 30 after last year’s Shakespeare at the Lake production.
This year’s production of “Much Ado About Nothing” is the Bard’s fanciful comedy love story. Available roles are open to both men and women, and younger and more senior actors. The production team is particularly looking to get more young actors involved in the story and college curricula.
Actors will be required to enroll in Mendocino College Summer Course. Some scholarships will be available for cast members. College credit will be awarded upon successful completion of the course.
Auditions will be held at Mendocino College Lake Center, 2565 Parallel Dr, Lakeport. Materials will be available at the time of audition and will consist of reading a short rendering from the play. Audition dates are June 6 and 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. and June 10 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
