NICE >> The 27th annual Harville Beef Barbecue, a fundraiser for Upper Lake High School athletics, takes place Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Boathouse Restaurant in Nice.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children younger than 12.
The event is sponsored by The Boathouse Restaurant.
Braun, Hoss, McCracken win
HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE >> The team of Deby Braun, Kit Hoss and Denise McCracken fired a low score of 25.3 to win a 40-9ers Women’s Golf Club scramble tournament on Thursday at Hidden Valley Lake Golf Course.
Second place went to the team of Marianne Bendinelli, Liz Cummesky and Barbara Carver with a 26. Third place went to Nancy Erickson, Roberta Villnow and Elaine Fauser with 28.7.
Cummesky chipped in on No. 11.
Ebyam, McAllister tie
HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE >> Sherrie Ebyam and Linda McAllister tied for first place in the first flight during Hidden Valley Lake Women’s Golf Club play on May 2 at Hidden Valley Lake Golf Course.
Flight results were as follows:
First flight – Ebyam and McAllister, 74; Genie Taylor and Joy Ryan, 79.
Second flight – Barbara Harris, 70; Frances Bunce and Debbie Meadows, 74.
Third flight – Adele Curtin, 74; Trudy Hill, 78; Mariana Bendinelli and Liz Cummesky, 79.
McAllister chipped in for birdie on the 15th hole. Shirley Krouse and Sharon Compartore chipped in on No. 14.
