LOCH LOMOND >> The Seigler Springs Community Redevelopment Association (SSCRA) has agreed to dedicate a disaster case manager for the remaining weeks of May to expedite delivery of the remaining long term recovery supplemental funds of approximately $160,000 available since January 2016 from the American Red Cross to qualified survivors of the Valley Fire.

First priority will be given to those who may lack capacity or be highly dependent on social services due to low literacy, elderliness, low income, disability, or who were uninsured and whose homes were destroyed in the disaster. Additional funds may be available for those Valley Fire survivors whose houses were destroyed and were underinsured. These tiers are defined by FEMA and HUD Disaster Case Management programming.

News of the Valley Fire sponsor’s deadline was announced to the Team Lake County Long Term Recovery Committee’s disaster case managers in April and has been extended until May 31.There is a $1,000 limit per household.
