The Student Art Show at the Art House Gallery showcased the pieces that have been submitted so far for the Clearlake Wildlife Youth Art Project. The event took place on Saturday, May 20.
Clearlake residents Molly and Larry Lang were impressed by the drawing that 7th grader Troyman Cheng of Burns Valley School made of an otter. They indicated that they want to sponsor it for the Clearlake Visitor Center.
Students whose art is sponsored will work this summer under the guidance of Art House artists in a classroom at the Clearlake campus of Woodland College to paint their drawing on a 4’ x 4’ plywood square. Businesses or building owners who wish to sponsor student art can see student art posted on the project’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/clearlakeyouthartproject.
Student art will also be posted at the Art House Gallery 15210 Lakeshore Drive. Call Stephanie Figueroa at 295-1030 for more information.
