Kelseyville Presbyterian Church invites the community to share with them a weekend of celebration for their 145th anniversary on Saturday and Sunday, June 17 and 18, .
In June of 1872, the Presbyterian Church of Kelseyville was formed under the name Clear Lake Presbyterian Church, and has enjoyed a varied and interesting history of service to the Kelseyville Community.
The event is being dubbed a “Sail-a-Bration, because with God’s help, the church has been sailing along for 145 years and will continue for another 100-plus.
On the weekend of the 17 and 18, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., the congregation will host an afternoon of food, catered by Kelseyville FFA, live music, and an old-fashioned sing-a-long of hymns from years gone by at 3:30 p.m. in the church Sanctuary. Like to sing or just listen? Please stop by and tour the grounds on which the old church still stands, and take a look at the photos and memories lining the walls of the Friendship Hall.
On Sunday, the celebration concludes with Worship at 10 a.m., and a potluck lunch to follow, honoring some of the long-time members of the church.
If you would like to attend, or have photos or memories to share, please contact Julie Berry at the church office at 279-1104, or any member of Kelseyville Presbyterian Church.
