SANTA CLARA >> Six members of the Punishers Wrestling Club of Lower Lake attended the Santa Clara Valley Championships last weekend at Fremont High School and brought home 10 medals while competing in freestyle and Greco Roman styles.
Blake Fredrickson won first-place medals in the junior 114-pound bracket in both styles. Jonathan Fredrickson secured a first-place medal in the 78-pound schoolboy division in freestyle, going undefeated, while the third Fredrickson brother, Austin, finished third in the same bracket.
Also for the Punishers, Hayden Fowler took home third-place medals in both styles in the novice 95-pound division as did Mario Cuellar in the schoolboy 95-pound division, and Adam Viramontes finished second in Greco and third in freestyle.
All six Punisher medalists head to Fresno on Friday for the California USA Wrestling Kids Freestyle State Championships and Fargo Qualifier for cadets/juniors.
