SAN FRANCISCO >> The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against President Donald Trump’s travel ban Monday morning, affirming a ruling by a Hawaii federal judge blocking large portions of the ban.
The case over the travel ban will likely go to the Supreme Court, based on a similar decision by another federal appeals court in Virginia.
“Immigration, even for the President, is not a one-person show,” the Ninth Circuit court wrote in its ruling.
The San Francisco court’s ruling is the latest in a string of legal decisions against the Trump administration over the ban, which targets visitors and immigrants from several Muslim-majority countries.
The court ruled against Trump’s original travel ban in February. This latest ruling blocks his revised order, which he has described as “watered-down.”
