Count on veteran Kelseyville High School baseball head coach Lou Poloni to keep things loose in the dugout no matter the occasion, even if it’s a photo shoot for the All-Lake County baseball team, which took place Thursday at Lloyd Larson Field. Poloni earned Coach of the Year honors for a second year in a row after guiding the Knights to a 24-2-1 overall record and a second straight undefeated league season. Two of his top players, seniors Logan Barrick (10) and Kyle Ellis (8), were honored as co-most valuable players. Also taking part in the photo shoot were Poloni’s assistant coaches, Jimi DeMar and Billy Shaul.
