The Lakeshore Lion’s Club of Clearlake is sponsoring its 60th annual Redbud Parade and Festival. The parade will start at Redbud Park at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 1 and will proceed down Lakeshore Drive to Austin Park.
The theme of this year’s parade is “Grand Old Flag.” This year we will be featuring local marchers, decorated floats, vintage cars, parade & show horses, fire and police vehicles and much more. The Lakeshore Lion’s Club will also sponsor the firework display at dark. Personnel advices the public to be safe.
Come on down to Austin Park and enjoy an assortment of food, cold drinks, and beer. There will also be the 18th annual Show and Shine Car Show, arts and craft vendors, games and entertainment for all. The Clearlake Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the 49th annual International Worm Races. The Midway of Fun Carnival will begin June 30th thru July 4th.

“This is the largest fundraiser for the Lakeshore Lions Club, so please show your community spirit and support by helping us raise money for all the many causes Lakeshore Lions Club aids in our community. We support the eye glasses and vision care for the needy, high school sports, scholarships and many other school activities, our Fire and Police Departments, the Senior Center, Community, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, and so many very notable causes,” Lakeshore Lions Parade Chairman Ray Bridges said.
Anyone who wishes to enter the parade or car show can pick up an entry form at the Clearlake Chamber of Commerce office, Bob’s Vacuum, Clearlake Automotive, Kevin Ness Jewelers and Tatonka Land.
