Tour guide and wildlife photographer Faith Rigolosi reports an unusual number of young grebes for this time of year around Clear Lake. A number are currently nesting at Tule Point and grebes commonly carry newborns on their backs. Rigolosi, who operates Eyes of the Wild Pontoon Boat Tours, urges boaters too be careful near grebes and nesting sites. – Faith Rigolosi
