- On Sunday, June 25 Cobb Mountain Community Fellowship held a groundbreaking ceremony to honor the start of rebuilding a new church after their original structure was destroyed by the Valley Fire two years ago. - Pictured is part of a planning package that includes information on the church’s new building. The new structure is said to look identical to its predecessor in an effort to honor those that built the original.
- The cornerstone with the year “1963” engraved was the only item that survived the wrath of the Valley Fire. The church plans to incorporate the cornerstone onto the new structure.
- Tents were placed where the original 1963 church was once built to have a Sunday morning service, followed by a groundbreaking ceremony in the afternoon. A playground for the children will be built where the tents were placed.
