LAKEPORT >> Patricia Kathleen Dail denied guilt for a bizarre taser assault incident during a recent hearing at the Lake County Superior Court.

The 51-year-old Lucerne woman will next appear for bail argument that has been reserved for the Preliminary Hearing, set for July 3.

Dail is charged with two counts of assault with a taser and two counts of threats to commit a crime.

The charges are a result of an incident this month when deputies from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to Alpine Park in Lucerne, finding several people detaining Dail.

Two female victims told deputies that Dail had used a taser on them. Deputies also noted faint markings on one victim’s neck they believed were consistent with a taser strike.

After witnesses grabbed hold of Dail and took the device she allegedly made threats that she would have someone kill them.

Dail maintains a group of “unknown people” had called her down to Alpine Park. She alleges that the group threatened her. In response, Dail allegedly informed them that she would defend herself if they continued.

She told investigators that she activated the device and accidently hit the victims.

Judge Robert Crone presided over the hearing. Dail pled not guilty to all charges.

Davis waives prelim

Clearlake Oaks resident Scott Michael Davis, 44, of Clearlake Oaks, waived his right to a preliminary examination during a court appearance.

Davis is charges with possession of child pornography after detectives from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office discovered tens of thousands of images and video on electronic devices during warrent searches of Davis’ home, as well as devices belonging to two other suspects.

Judge Andrew Blum presided over the Preliminary Examination. The matter will now be set for an Arraignment on an Information on July 5.

Since Davis waived his right to a preliminary examination, he is arraigned again on the “information” (which is the complaint filed by the Lake County District Attorney’s Office) as the second phase of the trial begins
