Just ten short months ago these 12 members of the Clear Lake Junior Horsemen’s Club began meeting at M Square Farms and riding their horses around in a dusty arena once a month so that they might have the privilege of performing at the Lake County Rodeo this Friday and Saturday night, July 7-8, like CLJH members before them have done for over fifty years. A number of them were very experienced riders and many of them had no experience at all. You will find it hard to tell who’s who when you see them performing their figure eights, weaves and spirals in unison under the rodeo lights. – Contributed photo
