Museum tribal committee forms
The first meeting of the Museums of Lake County Tribal Advisory Committee will occur on July 11 at 10 a.m. at the Historic Schoolhouse Museum in Lower Lake. Any Native American interested in volunteering to be a member or interested in learning more about the Tribal Advisory Committee is welcome to attend.
Meetings will be held monthly on the second Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Friends of museum to meet
The Friends of the Lake County Museum will be holding their annual meeting on July 15 at 4 p.m. at the Historic Courthouse Museum. The meeting is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend. The Historic Courthouse Museum is located at 255 North Main Street in Lakeport.
Join the group for light refreshments as they review accomplishments of 2016 and plan for 2017. They will also have a short presentation on “Artifacts as Signs and Symbols” by Curator Whitney Petrey.
