LAKEPORT >> The Lake County Fair Board of Directors announced today the opening of a search process for a new Chief Executive Officer. Current CEO Debbie Strickler will be retiring November 1 after 13 years with the Lake County Fair.
The Lake County Fair is currently the accepting applications for the position. The ideal candidate would reside in, or be willing to relocate to, Lake County.
Other qualifications include demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing and managing budgets, maintaining sound fiscal policy, payroll oversight, and preparation of board- and government-required reports; planning, organizational restructuring and business development; fund-raising, grant and sponsorship development; recruiting, training and supervising employees and volunteers.
Because the facility hosts varied events throughout the year, the candidate will spend time producing and directing community-relevant programs, entertainment activities and special events; developing and implementing marketing plans and strategies.
The candidate must have the ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with staff and volunteers, the Board of Directors, governmental agencies, local businesses, media and the community. Deadline for submittal of application documents is August 8.
