KELSEYVILLE >> Jake Keithly won the junior division while Tyler Bryant and Max Madrzyk teamed up to win the high school division during a Lake County Fishing Club tournament last weekend at Lakeside County Park.
A total of 10 boats were entered in the club’s second tournament at Clear Lake.
Keithly brought a five-fish limit of 20.69 pounds to the scales, the best weight of the tournament in either division. His catch included a big fish of 5.28 pounds. He was accompanied by boater Hadyn Evans.
Second place went to Dylan Watson with a five-fish limit of 17.38 pounds, including a big fish of 5.03 pounds. He was accompanied by boater Cody Bashore.
Justin Gentle finished third with a five-fish limit of 11.85 pounds. His boater was Scott Gentle.
In the high school division, the Bryant-Madrzyk team brought a five-fish limit of 19.26 pounds to the weigh scale, including the big fish of the tournament, a 5.42-pounder. They were accompanied by boater Mike Bryant.
Runner-up honors went to Jason Gentle and Nathan Phillips with a five-limit of 15.69 pounds, anchored by a big fish of 4.93 pounds.
Third place went to Nathan Sneed with a five-fish limit of 14.22 pounds, with a 3.27-pound big fish. His boater was Zachariah Ploeger.
“I would like to thank all the boaters … Brandon DeLapo, Dan Goff, Adam Anderson, Mike Bryant, Scott Gentle, Richard Pounds, Haydn Evans, Lucas Cole, Cody Bashore and Zachariah Ploeger,” said Deanna Goff of the Lake County Fishing Club. “I would also like to thank Clearlake Outdoors and Clearlake Bait and Tackle. They have time and time again and donated items for raffles and let us use equipment in order to run our tournaments. We couldn’t do it with out all of you.”
