The turnout for the first day of the annual Sonoma State/Kelseyville High School Volleyball Camp on Monday was one of the best in years, according to camp organizers, who said it takes dedicated athletes to practice in a gym with no air conditioning during a triple-digit heat wave in Lake County. The week-long camp runs through Friday. The camp is divided into two groups, fifth through eighth graders and ninth through 12th grades. Campers learn individual and team skills from a coaching staff that includes Sonoma State University women’s coach Bear Grassl.
