Lakeport Unified School District (LUSD) will launch its 2017-18 school year Aug. 8, 2017, focused on its mission to provide high quality educational opportunities, challenge all individuals to achieve excellence, prepare students to participate in a technological world, foster understanding and respect for the diversity of cultures and the uniqueness of the individual, encourage healthy living, and promote civic and personal responsibility in a safe, mutually respectful environment.
We take pride in our recent enhancements to campus sites and advancements in educational programs presented by our teachers and staff at Lakeport Elementary School (grades pre-K-3), Terrace Middle School (grades 4-8), Clear Lake High School (grades 9-12), Natural Continuation High School (grades 9-12), Lakeport Unified Community Day School (grades 6-10), and Lakeport Alternative School (grades K-12).
Clear Lake High School students excel in scholastics, athletics, music and technology. The school offers Advanced Placement classes and trade and technology courses in Career Technical Education Pathways.
An afterschool program offers additional assistance to elementary and middle school students. Counselors are available to all students; and LUSD presents music programs in grades K-12, encouraging musical involvement at all ages.
At the Lakeport Alternative School, a free homeschool program is offered to families.Lakeport Community Day School supports students in grades 6-10 who need a smaller, more concentrated approach to education. Natural Continuation High School offers credit recovery and credit acceleration for high school students age 16 or older.
Our schools are actively engaging families as partners in governance of LUSD and working toward building a better resource connection between our community partners and school educators, students, and families.
