Derek Coulter, a member of Middletown High School’s golf team during the spring season, fired a 77 to win the boys 16-17 age flight during the 24th annual Lake County Junior Golf Championship on Tuesday at Adams Springs Golf Course on Cobb Mountain. Coulter was the primary competition for overall champion Matt Wotherspoon, who collected his record-setting fifth straight title after carding a 72. Coulter started slowly during Tuesday’s round but fired a back-nine 35 with two birdies.
