Head coach Mark Cory had the Clear Lake Cardinals on the move during day one of the 2017 high school football season, which is to say the Cardinals were running, not jogging, from station to station as they went through a variety of drills on Monday afternoon. Cory begins his second season after a solid first year with the Cardinals, who went 4-4 and 5-6 overall while qualifying for the North Coast Section playoffs as an at-large team. The majority of Cory’s 2016 roster returns, including third-year varsity quarterback Alex Adams and several linemen.
