LOWER LAKE >> Lower Lake High School will hold its third annual Football Carnival on Saturday beginning at 3 p.m. at Gordon Sadler Field.
There will be vendor booths, carnival games, a bounce house and a punt, pass and kick competition. Later that night the Lower Lake High School varsity squad will host the Lower Lake Youth Football Pee Wee team in a special game.
Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for students. Children 5 and younger get in free. Proceeds support the Lower Lake football program.
Cardinal Sports Night
LAKEPORT >> Tickets will soon go on sale for the seventh annual Cardinal Sports Night fundraiser on Sept. 9 at the Lake County Fairgrounds.
Sponsored by the CLHS Sports Foundation, the event raised a record $25,278 a year ago. Proceeds benefit Clear Lake High School’s sports teams. More than $125,000 has been raised since the event began in 2011.
Tickets for this year’s event will soon be on sale at Umpqua Bank, Plaza Paints and Linda’s Hallmark in Lakeport. The cost is $25 preseale and $30 at the door. Individuals, groups or businesses can also purchase a table for $400. That price includes eight tickets, a prime seating location, a limited selection of beer and wine, and snacks. Tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
There will be a silent auction, basket raffles and a coaches competition.
