The Lake County Record-Bee begins a team-by-team preview of the county’s varsity football squads as they prepare for their 2017 season openers starting with Thursday’s print edition. One school will be featured each day beginning with the Kelseyville Knights and followed by the Middletown Mustangs, Upper Lake Cougars, Lower Lake Trojans and Clear Lake Cardinals, leading up to the first Football Friday edition on Aug. 25.
