UKIAH >> Ukiah City Councilmember Stephen G. Scalmanini has officially withdrawn his appeal of the Planning Commission’s recent approval of Costco’s site development permit. Therefore, the previously scheduled special meeting to hear the appeal on August 24 has been cancelled.
With this, the Planning Commission decision approving Costco’s site development permit becomes the final decision for the City of Ukiah. The often delayed Costco project can finally move forward.
Costco officials have previously stated that the project will likely break ground in September in anticipation of a spring 2018 opening. The withdrawal of the appeal allows this timeline to remain intact.
