The annual Lake County Scrimmage matching 11-man varsity and junior varsity football teams from Clear Lake, Kelseyville, Lower Lake and Middletown took part Friday evening at Bill Foltmer Field in Middletown. The event is a dress rehearsal for the county’s squads, most of which open their season this coming Friday. Kelseyville hosts Stellar Prep while Clear Lake and Lower Lake hit the road. Middletown’s first game is Sept. 1 at home against Hercules.
