They’re off and running … and kicking … at Westside Park in Lakeport, home of the Konocti Youth Soccer League, which was abuzz with activity on Saturday during opening day. Several games took place after the traditional opening ceremonies. Boys and girls, most of them smiling, had a good time running up and down the field before it got too hot later in the afternoon. Games take place on weekends through Nov. 11. The Konocti Youth Soccer League is a non-profit recreational league for the youth of northern Lake County and is run completely by volunteers.
